The Nassau County Police Medic Association (NCPMA) is the benevolent body that represents the Nassau County Police Department's Emergency Ambulance Bureau and its members. The NCPMA is a federally recognized 501(c)(7) non-profit corporation that has been incorporated in New York State since 2013.
Since 1953, we have been honored to serve the residents of Nassau County—as well as those just passing through—by delivering the highest standard of pre-hospital Advanced Life Support Emergency Medical Services. For over seven decades, our dedicated team of professionals has stood ready to respond at a moment’s notice, providing compassionate, skilled care in every situation.
From the most routine calls for assistance to the most critical, life-threatening emergencies, we approach every response with unwavering commitment, professionalism, and urgency. Our mission goes beyond medical intervention—we strive to bring comfort, reassurance, and hope to those in need. No matter the hour, no matter the challenge, we are always prepared to meet it head-on and serve our community with pride.
Our members do more than respond to emergencies by ambulance—they play a vital role in Nassau County Medical Control by delivering telemetry support to all EMS providers in the county's 911 system and offering medical guidance over the phone to individuals calling 911. In addition, they serve as instructors at the Nassau County Fire-Police Emergency Medical Services Academy, liaison with the Hostage Negotiation Team, operate as Tactical Medics with the Nassau County Police Department’s Bureau of Special Operations, and are trained Hazardous Materials Decontamination technicians.
